Behind The Scenes Farm Tour – Tuesday 10th March 5.30-8pm

Behind the Scenes Farm Tour
A rare, intimate wander through the heart of the Dahlia Patch.
Step behind the gates and into the part of the flower farm that are usually reserved for our hands, our hearts and our floristry work. This small-group experience (limited to 10 guests) invites you into the private florist gardens – the spaces where our blooms are grown, seedlings trialed, nurtured and harvested with intention.
Across the 2.5hrs on this evening, you’ll stroll through each garden room, learn how a flower farm is created from the soil up and hear stories behind the varieties that we grow, the decisions we make and the rhythms that shape life on the farm. It is an unhurried, sensory tour designed for anyone who loves flowers, dreams of growing their own, or simply wants to experience the farm in a deeper, more personal way.
What the evening includes:
* Guided tour of all flower gardens, including the private florist beds not normally open to the public
* Discussion on creating a flower farm from soil health and plant selection to workflow, harvesting and the realities of running a small, intentional business
* Viewing and discussion about the seedling grown on the farm, how they are monitored and named
* Beverages throughout the evening
* Light supper served in the garden as the sun goes down
* Take home flowers – choose from a selection of pre-made bouquets crafted from the mornings harvest.
The Experience
You’ll wander slowly, ask questions freely and see the farm exactly as it is behind the scenes, including the beauty, the systems, the experiments and the quiet chaos that makes it all work. We’ll talk about:
- How we plan and plant each season
- The varieties we grow for floristry and why
- The tools, techniques and little rituals that keep the garden thriving
- The heart behind the dahlia Patch and how it has grown into a community space
This is a gentle, nourishing evening for flower lovers, gardeners, creatives and anyone curious about the life of a working flower farm.
Who is this for
Those who want to learn, wander, connect and experience the farm is a way that isn’t normally possible during the flowering season.
It’s intimate, thoughtful and designed to leave you feeling inspired and grounded.
