Yesterday we wrapped up our final workshop of the Yesterday we wrapped up our final workshop of the season, the Growing Dahlias Workshop, and what a beautiful note to end on.
Another sold out group, full of fabulous people eager to learn, ask, share, and soak up the magic of these flowers we all adore. There’s something special about watching confidence bloom alongside the dahlias themselves.

It felt like the perfect finale to a season filled with learning, laughter and great food - let’s not forget to mention the amazing afternoon tea organised by Liz. What a great afternoon it was.

We have just one more Devonshire Tea this coming Tuesday morning, and then that’s a wrap for the year. The dahlias are beginning to fade, but the farm still holds so much beauty and we’re looking forward to welcoming our last visitors before we tuck the Patch in for winter.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us this season. Your presence, your curiosity, and your kindness make this place what it is.
This morning felt like a gentle celebration with b This morning felt like a gentle celebration with blue skies, no clouds, and one of our biggest groups yet who gathered for scones and tea.

Next Tuesday is our final Devonshire Tea of the season. I’ve opened a few extra spots for anyone wanting one last wander through the patch. The dahlias are dying back now, but the farm still holds its own quiet magic.

Our most recent competition drew 989 entries, and today we welcomed the lucky winners, two friends who arrived with their six daughters, turning the very end of the season into a full family celebration.
Wild winds, the last dahlias of the year, and still they created the most beautiful arrangements and memories. They told me they’re rarely all together, which made this experience and the photos even more special.

Moments like this are why we run these giveaways.
They bring new faces to the farm, spark connection, and let people experience the magic of harvesting for themselves.

If you’d love a chance to visit next season to wander the rows, design your own bouquet, or bring your favourite people for a little escape then make sure you’re following along.
More giveaways, early bird tickets, and new experiences are coming.

The season may be closing, but the story isn’t finished.
Our final harvest of the season this morning. The Our final harvest of the season this morning. The temperature has dropped, the winds have picked up again, and the patch is gently telling us it’s time to rest. Such a great group to close the season with, followed by the loveliest baby shower among the last of the blooms.

Our 2026–27 season calendar will be finalised in July. With this season fully sold out, early booking will be essential. Watch our website and Instagram for the announcement.
We’ve got a special guest at the farm this week. S We’ve got a special guest at the farm this week. She’s three, she’s fluffy, and she looks exactly like Patchy… except someone hit the “shrink” button. Safe to say she’s already won everyone over.

The season is slipping away quickly, but there’s still a little time left to soak in the magic of these flowers.

The pure joy of dahlias needs no translation. Th The pure joy of dahlias needs no translation.

There’s something about these blooms that transcends religion, language, culture. Joy has its own vocabulary.
Wonder speaks for itself.

This morning we welcomed women from Indonesia, who had only a handful of English words. And yet the moment they stepped into the rows, the conversation flowed effortlessly. Smiles, gestures, laughter, the soft gasp when a colour catches the light … all of it understood.

Flowers have a way of dissolving the need for shared language.
Beauty becomes the bridge.
Connection becomes the common ground.
