Community Support
We are thrilled to announce that our Flower Farm is supporting the local domestic violence service ‘Pop In’ who provide services for women and children who are threatened or impacted by domestic violence.

Domestic violence is a serious issue that affects far too many individuals and families and we are committed to doing our part to support those who are most vulnerable. We also acknowledge the staff who work tirelessly to empower women and break the cycle of violence, all while advocating for greater awareness and the prevention of violence.
Staff are making a difference every day, often in difficult and emotional circumstances. Their compassion, empathy and commitment to helping others is truly inspiring and is an issue close to my heart, having worked for the Department of Health in this area for many years.
Our first Workshop was held this month, August 2024, conducted free of charge for clients of the service. The workshop ‘A Gift of Flowers’ was run by Dordie Crouch (Floristry), Elisabeth Lowe, Lynette Reay and myself. It is always fabulous to see the impact that flowers have on people’s emotional wellbeing.
As we move into the Dahlia Season (From December to April) more Workshops, as well as ‘Coffee and Harvesting’ will become available free of charge to staff and clients of Pop In. These dates will be scheduled through Pop In. At the end of the season, a percentage of the money received by our Farm will be donated to Pop In.
We are proud to stand with the local domestic violence service and to support their work. By purchasing our dahlias and attending our workshops, you will not only be supporting a local flower farm, but you will also be contributing to a cause that is truly making a difference in the lives of women and children in our community. Thank you for joining us in this important cause. #SupportLocal #EndDomesticViolence
