Anna Jahjah is a French-Australian visual artist and designer based in Austinmer NSW. A paper floral artist since 2016, she draws on her studies in literature and art history at the Ecole du Louvre (Paris) and training with master artisans. Her works sits at the intersection of sculpture, story telling and performance – notably, her paper Gymea lilies was featured in the Unsettled exhibition at the Australian Museum (2021). Anna has exhibited across Sydney, France and Belguim and regularly facilitates workshops in paper flower making and origami.

Emmanuelle Lacassagne is a French – Australian interior designer and educator based in Ashfield NSW, with a background in theatre, linguistics and spacial design. Trained at the Sydney Design School and AFTERS, she specialises in spacial narrative and audience experience, informed by extensive work in theatre production.

Together, Anna and Emmanuelle design participatory installations that invite people to sow down, pay attention and reflect. They explore how crafted environments can offer moments of comfort, presence and emotional connection within shared spaces of care. Experienced educators, they love sharing their craft through community workshops, having recently taught at the Granville Centre Art Gallery and the North Ryde Community Migrant Resource Centre.

Description of the Paper Dahlia Workshop

Join us for 4 creative hours where you’ll learn to craft stunning paper dahlias  – elegant, timeless Dahlias that will never fade. Guided step by step by instructors Anna Jahjah and Emmanuelle Lacassagne, you will use scissors, floral tape, glue and paper to create your own beautiful Dahlia to keep forever. You will be fully supported in a relaxed, encouraging and caring atmosphere. All you need to bring is a keen eye for detail and a love of nature. All materials and tools are provided.

Guided Dahlia Harvest and Morning Tea

This workshop is combined with a Dahlia Harvest where you will be guided by Lisa and Liz to harvest your top 10 favourite dahlias. Provided with a mason jar to take home, these dahlias will add inspiration to your dahlia making workshop.

A generous morning tea and coffee provided by our in house Barista will be service
