What to expect:
Guided dahlia harvesting : Start your day by exploring the stunning varieties of dahlias with Lisa. You will fill a mason jar (provided) to take home your beautiful selection and arrangement of dahlias.
Morning Tea: Take a break and indulge in morning tea as you chat and connect with fellow participants
Vase Decorating Workshop: After harvesting unleash your creativity with Emma as she guides you through various ceramic decorating techniques:
- Sgraffito : choose colours to paint onto your vase and carve intricate designs into the clay.
- Embossing: use natural objects like leaves and lace to create beautiful impressions on your ceramic masterpiece.
- Glazing Techniques: Experiment with painting directly onto the clay using vibrant glazes and oxides.
Pottery Wheel Demonstration: Watch Emma demonstrate the art of throwing on the pottery wheel – an exciting addition to your creative experience!
Your beautifully decorated vase will be glazed and ready to pick up at the flower farm 2 weeks from the date of the workshop, allowing you to showcase your unique creation at home.
At collection you will be able to fill your vase with dahlias to take home.
