After 18yrs of dreaming about this, we have finall

After 18yrs of dreaming about this, we have finally made it happen! ⬇️

After the birth of our 3rd daughter we agreed to have an amazing extended family holiday once all three girls had finished their HSC. This is the year!
With the Flower Farm asleep and being cared for and our Forklift business in good hands, we are travelling as a family of 5 adults for just under 9 weeks. The last section of our travels will see us welcoming my parents who will join in the fun and potential chaos.

It may not be flowers, but follow us as we travel and relax in order to rejuvenate for another fabulous flower session starting in Dec/January. We’ll try to share some of our travel tips. The do’s and donts.

First stop - Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam for 6 days of total relaxation and to celebrate Darrin’s birthday. Here we meet up with our youngest daughter and her boyfriend who are already in Vietnam.

Stay at The La Verandah Resort. Simply stunning and the staff are warm and welcoming.

Leave your passport on the plane! Not saying who, but someone under 25!!!

Ever wondered about mushrooms growing in your soil

Ever wondered about mushrooms growing in your soil or compost?

These mushrooms popping up in our soil and mulch are actually a sign of a healthy, thriving ecosystem.

These fungi are busy breaking down dead plants and mulch into nutrient-rich goodness.

Thanks to mushrooms, essential nutrients are cycled back into the soil, ensuring our flowers get the best support they need.

Mycorrhizal fungi enhance soil drainage and water retention, creating the perfect home for our blossoming beauties!

If you are seeing mushrooms then it is good news! They indicate a lively population of beneficial microbes working hard beneath our feet.

So, while they may not be everyone’s aesthetic, mushrooms are nature’s way of nurturing our gardens!

Can we eat them? Let’s be safe and say ABSOLUTLY NOT. We won’t be serving up mushroom soup anytime soon 🥴😂

It’s that magical time of the year again. We’re out gathering seeds from our lovely Dahlia heads. The recent rain has been a mixed blessing with some seed heads unfortunately rotting, but we’re determined to find the perfect ones for you, when you are booking into workshops or making tuber orders. The hunt is on.

The pictures show you what I am picking to get the perfect seeds, with the last seed head photo showing an immature seed head that needs to dry out. I avoid picking these unless I cut the stems short and stand them in glasses to dry when I know that more rain is coming.
The final photo shows you what the seeds look like.
